Philip Hanson studied creative writing at the University of California, Berkeley, where he received a Ph.D. in English. His short fiction has appeared in The Berkeley Fiction Review, The Copperfield Review, Other Voices, The Blue Hour Magazine, The Dan River Anthology, and Undercurrent. He is currently an associate professor at the University of San Francisco.
