Kate teaches college English and Creative Writing in Sarasota, Florida, where she lives with her husband, Dean, and their dog-daughter, Molly. Her mystery novel, The Tattooed Mermaid, was awarded a Silver Medal in 2013 by the Florida Authors and Publishers Association. She has published short stories in the anthologies, Doorways, It's A Crime and The Florida Writer and has stories on line at Flash Fiction World, Mysterical-e, Father Stars than These, and Fiction on the Web.
