Eilidh Nisbet

Eilidh Nisbet was born in Glasgow, 1934, and was educated at local schools and at Glasgow University, specialising in Geology. She worked in museums for about 14 years before drifting over into Archaeology. She always preferred the outdoor work. She was very fond of sea trips to remote places and did some sailing when young, but found mountaineering more affordable and nearly as enjoyable. Eilidh was a compulsive scribbler when young, writing and illustrating many stories. Unfortunately this facility has been lost over the years and it now takes hard work! She has had some articles and poems published, also two books, “The Raven’s Beak” (a novel) and “Giddy Old School” (based on diaries for 1948 - 1951).
