Corinna Weyreter from Surrey, England, won the 1998 Bridport Prize for her story 'Cold Feet' and has had several short stories published. She worked as a petrophysicist in the oil industry for fifteen years before resigning to sail around the world with her boyfriend. She wrote about the first stage of their voyage, from Texas to Australia through the Western Caribbean and across the Pacific, in her book Far Out: Sailing into a Disappearing World, published by Sunpenny Publishing.
